The Larson Davis SoundExpert™ Noise Nuisance Recorder Kit provides
environmental health professionals, municipalities, housing authorities, and
consultants with a complete solution for investigating residential noise
complaints. Built around the SoundExpert Sound Level Meter Model 821ENV, a
Class 1 meter, the system combines precision sound measurements with
synchronized audio recording, making it easier to document nuisance events and
collect defensible evidence.
Designed for simple deployment in homes and apartments, the kit enables
residents to trigger recordings during noise events while automatically
capturing corresponding sound level data. The result is a clear record of when
events occurred, how loud they were, and what was heard, helping investigators
efficiently evaluate complaints and support enforcement decisions.
Unlike consumer audio recorders or smartphone apps, the SoundExpert Noise
Nuisance Recorder combines precision Class 1 sound level measurements with
synchronized audio recordings in a purpose-built investigation system.
Investigators receive reliable acoustic data together with audible evidence,
helping them evaluate complaints more efficiently and produce professional
documentation for regulatory or legal review.
