Spartan Series Just Got Safer
The wait is over! For customers taking worker noise dose measurements where intrinsic safety ratings are required, the Spartan Intrinsically Safe Noise Dosimeter Model 730IS is now available. With all of the features of the Spartan Series, Spartan-IS provides completely wireless noise exposure measurements in hazardous areas such as petrochemical sites, chemical manufacturing plants, pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities and other potentially hazardous locations where ATEX/IECEx (Ex ia I/IIC), UL 913 / CAN/CSA C22.2 (Class 1 Div 1), and FCC approvals are required.

Use the dosimeter with the LD Atlas™ mobile app and wirelessly connect for test setup, live view, data download, and voice-to-text annotation. Plus, share reports right from your phone!

A piece of equipment that is designated as intrinsically safe has been designed to operate in a potentially explosive environment. In the simplest terms, under any operating conditions, the equipment and wiring is not capable of releasing sufficient electrical or thermal energy for ignition.
